T P G Nambiar – Group Chairman
T P G Nambiar 84, promoted BPL in 1963. Mr. Nambiar has over four decades of experience in the management of industrial enterprises. Mr. Nambiar had a vision of pioneering the manufacturing of superior quality electronic products in the country and has been responsible for all international tie-ups of BPL, which includes Sanyo of Japan, Siemens of Germany, US West of US, Toshiba of Japan and several other leading international companies. He has been the motivating spirit behind the rapid expansion and diversification of BPL, from a single product Company, to a diversified conglomerate.

Ajit G Nambiar – Chairman & Managing Director
Ajit G Nambiar 50, is the Chairman and Managing Director of BPL Telecom Limited. He holds a B.S in Electronics from Boston University, USA and has been associated with BPL for a long time. Before taking over as Managing Director of BPL Limited in 1993, he was the Managing Director of Electronic Research Limited, one of the associate Companies engaged in the manufacture of electronic components. He has to his credit the setting up of a state of the art CTV manufacturing facility at Bangalore, India’s first Alkaline Battery Plant at Dobaspet and other ultra-modern factories.
Capt. S Prabhala (Retd.) - Ex Chairman & Managing Director BEL,
Capt. S Prabhala 80, is a graduate in Electrical Engineering. He started his career with the Indian Navy and served for two decades during which he held several key positions. He was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal for his distinguished service. After retiring from Indian Navy, Capt. S Prabhala was associated with Bharat Electronics Ltd, a leading Public Sector Undertaking, for over 15 years and was its Chairman and Managing Director when he retired in 1991. He joined the BPL Group in 1991 and has been associated with it in various capacities. He is on the Board of several other Companies and voluntary agencies involved in environment improvement and ecology. He is a member of the Board of Governors of Centre for Organisation Development, Hyderabad and Senior Member, Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, USA.
